Love it and would love to learn. Is there a place I could learn?
we met on the subway a year or so ago I guess…. you were knitting something very very big and I asked what you were doing, you told me (i mentioned my son loved the sweaters fro trees on Christian) and you said that really all this orange yarn was for this idea you had to knit a cosy for an abandoned house. I’m glad you found a building that was free! 🙂
is this still up now?
What a beautiful splash of color. I bet you made a lot of people smile just looking at it!
Dear Ishknits,
We were delighted to see your work in Philadelphia Magazine on our sculpture, Freedom! Now we know we’ve really arrived, when Ishknits has created a knitted artwork for our sculpture. ;->> Your work looks great on the figure, and it’s marvelous fun. You can create knittings for our sculptures anytime! It certainly enables folks to look at the sculpture in a different way.
Would you be agreeable to our posting this on our Facebook page, giving you credit, of course? We have an international audience who would appreciate it, and between 3,000 – 48,000 visitors to our facebook page each week.
Best wishes,
Rosalie & Zenos
Absolutely! It was an honor to work with your piece! The sculpture is so intricate, with so many surprising details.. I kept finding new aspects to the piece the whole time I was installing. Also, while I was installing, two women came by who were hoping to see your sculpture because it was on their list of 25 top public art works in the country!
